Family Planning
The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County’s (DOH-Escambia) Family Planning Clinic provides abstinence counseling, information about natural family planning, pelvic exams, and pap tests.
For more information about our Family Planning services, call 850-595-6500, Option 2.
Improved Pregnancy Outcome (IPOP)
IPOP helps pregnant women access prenatal care, apply for Medicaid assistance, and the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition program. The program provides screenings for potential problems and/or risks. IPOP also provides education to promote healthy behaviors during pregnancy.
Breast and Cervical Cancer
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program is for women 50 to 64 years of age without Medicaid or insurance who live in Florida. This program provides a pap smear and mammogram to detect breast and cervical cancer before it becomes serious.
DOH-Escambia does not provide mammograms, but we will connect clients to programs which offer mammograms in the community.
