Wellness Programs focus on preventing chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Many of our programs promote healthy behaviors such as quitting tobacco products, eating a balanced diet, and being physically active. The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County has a team of subject matter specialists consisting of health educators, nutrition educators, and registered dietitians working to create informational materials and deliver presentations to the community. Support is also available for organizations that are making healthy changes and need guidance and resources from our subject matter specialists. Browse our Programs and Services for more information about each Wellness Program and complete an outreach request form as early as possible when requesting a community outreach.
