Time left until the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season ends

Are You One Week Ready?

Hurricane season goes from June 1 to November 30Would you be prepared NOW if a storm threatens your community?

Hurricanes are dangerous and can cause major damage from storm surge, wind damage, rip currents and flooding. They can happen along any U.S. coast or in any territory in the Atlantic or Pacific oceans. Storm surge historically is the leading cause of hurricane-related deaths in the United States.

The Florida Department of Health is encouraging all residents and visitors to prepare for severe weather emergencies. Determine any risks to your home, property, or business, and update your emergency plans and supplies before Florida is threatened by a storm. It is important to stay prepared before and after a storm.
