FDOH-Escambia helps children and their families stay healthy. Costs for some services are based on ability to pay. Other services are provided at a set fee. Medicaid and other insurances are accepted. Call 850-595-6500, Option 2 to schedule an appointment or inquire about cost. 

For primary care services, FDOH-Escambia accepts children and adults assigned to Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Medical Assistance, and some HMOs.

Medicaid 

The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (DOH-Escambia) provides medical care to children and adults on all types of Medicaid.

Adult Health Clinic 

Primary Care Services include:

  • Annual Check-Up
  • Management of chronic diseases, such as high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes

Children's Health Clinic 

Physical Exams for Preschool, School, and Sports

DOH-Escambia doctors provide the physical exam required by schools and sports teams.Well Child Check Up

Children's Primary Care

DOH-Escambia doctors and nurse practitioners can provide sick and ‘well child’ exams.

Immunizations

DOH-Escambia has placed great emphasis on increasing accessibility and availability of immunizations for children and adults. All child and adolescent immunizations are in accordance with the Bureau of Immunizations Schedule and Florida School Guidelines. Immunizations are available free of charge to eligible children ages zero to 18 years old.
