Medicaid  

Medicaid
The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (DOH-Escambia) provides medical care to individuals on straight Medicaid (also known as Medicaid Fee-For-Service).

DOH-Escambia helps children and their families stay healthy. Cost for some services are based on ability to pay. Other services are provided at a set fee. DOH-Escambia accepts children assigned to medicaid and managed care HMOs for primary care services.

Physical Exams for Preschool, School, and Sports 

DOH-Escambia doctors provide the physical exam required by schools and sports teams.Well Child Check Up

Well Child Exam 

DOH-Escambia doctors and nurse practitioners can provide a ‘well child’ exam or complete physical to check on growth and development.

Immunizations 

DOH-Escambia has placed great emphasis on increasing accessibility and availability of immunizations for children and adults. All child and adolescent immunizations are in accordance with the Bureau of Immunizations Schedule and Florida School Guidelines. Immunizations are available free of charge to eligible children ages zero to 18 years old.
