Water Quality Health Advisory Continues for Bayou Grande; Advisories Rescinded for Bayou Chico, Sanders Beach

Pensacola, Fla. – Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is rescinding the health advisories for the following locations in Escambia County, Florida:


• Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park
• Sanders Beach

Follow-up sampling of the affected area indicates an adequate reduction in bacteria levels.


A health advisory remains in effect for the following location:


• Bayou Grande – Navy Point North of the Sunset Avenue Bridge
