RESCIND Health Alert Bayou Texar, Bayou Grande at Navy Point, Sanders Beach, Big Lagoon State Park CONTINUE Alert Bayou Chico at Lakewood

PENSACOLA, FL – Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is rescinding the health alert for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:

Bayou Texar at Bayview Park

Big Lagoon State Park

Sanders Beach

Bayou Grande, Navy Point - North of Sunset Avenue Bridge

A Health alert remains in effect for the following beach:

Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park

Follow-up sampling of the affected area indicates an adequate reduction in bacteria levels.

We will continue to monitor the water quality in this area and advise the public of our results.
