PENSACOLA, FL – Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is issuing a health alert for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:
Bayou Texar at Bayview Park
FDOH-Escambia advises against any water-related activities at the above location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. The bacteriological sampling occurred during water quality monitoring activities and the bacteria level exceeds state guidelines.
We will continue to monitor the water quality in these areas and advise the public of our results.
