Florida Department of Health in Escambia County Announces Outreach Event Featuring Hepatitis A Vaccinations

Pensacola, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is announcing an outreach event that will provide hepatitis A vaccinations offered to community residents.
Hepatitis A is on the rise in our area. FDOH-Escambia reminds everyone to get vaccinated, and stay vaccinated, against hepatitis A. Hepatitis A is a vaccine-preventable illness that can be highly contagious and easily contracted through contaminated food and water. This outreach event will feature no-charge immunizations for hepatitis A.

FDOH-Escambia encourages you to talk to your doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional to ensure your family is up to date on recommended vaccines. We also encourage you to visit the CDC’s Interactive Vaccine Guide and use the CDC’s adult vaccine assessment tool to see which vaccines might be right for you.
