HEALTH ADVISORY Health Advisory Rescinded for Quietwater Beach Pier and Bayous Texar, Grande; Advisory Continued for Bayou Chico

Pensacola, Fla. – Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is rescinding the health advisory for the following locations in Escambia County, Florida due to an adequate reduction in bacteria levels:

  • Quietwater Beach Pier, Pensacola Beach – North of Pensacola Beach Boardwalk
  • Bayou Texar at Bayview Park
  • Bayou Grande at Navy Point, North of Sunset Bridge

A health advisory remains in effect for the following location:

  • Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park

FDOH-Escambia will continue to monitor the water quality in the area and advise the public of results. For more information, contact the Environmental Health office at 850-595-6700 or visit the Florida Healthy Beaches website.
